Six coaches and staff from the Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU) came to our
school on 12 and 13 November, 2018. Students enjoyed an exciting, hands-on
introduction to touch rugby at our English Speaking Day activities and
in several P.E. lessons. Many QCOBASS students were curious about this unfamiliar
sport which is more commonly played in international schools in Hong Kong. The
counter-intuitive principle of passing the rugby ball backwards was challenging for the
players to grasp at first, but the students had fun interacting with the English-speaking
coaches and trying out some new exercises. Our thanks and appreciation go to the
representatives from the HKRU who made the 2 days such a unique and eye-opening
experience for our students.
