As one of their post-examination period activities, students from
3A went on an outing to Discovery Bay on 27 July, 2019.
They met up with and interviewed several English-speaking
residents from the international community. Discussions
touched on various aspects of the interviewees’ lives,
including travel experiences, career paths, choice of
Discovery Bay as a place of residence and reasons for
living in Hong Kong. After a stroll around the neighbourhood
and viewing the suburban surroundings, students enjoyed a
shared meal at the local English pub restaurant. For some,
it was a first taste of traditional English fish and chips,
chicken tikka masala and beef and Guinness pie.Students can
access their Google classroom to share with classmates
and teachers on their overall experience of the day.
Many thanks go to Ms. Chloe Wong, Ms. Millie Chan, Ms. Nicole
Chen, Ms. Katherine Ip and Ms. Sophia Cheng for helping to make
the activity a meaningful and learning experience for the
students.
